Meme...6 weird things

I kind of took this from Gary...but I don't think he'll mind :)

I hope -by some of your replies- to find out that I am not as weird as I think I am...

1.) My mind is almost never quiet-there is scarcely a time when a song is not playing in my head- right now- it's Billy Idol's "Sweet 16". Sometimes it drives me nuts.

2.) I used to HATE having my picture taken- now I don't...as long as I am the one taking it- all pics on this blog have been taken by me- and me alone :)

3.) I detest clothes shopping- but wanted to be a fashion designer when I was 10-12

4.) I have the phrase, "The Time is Write" written on my bathroom mirror in ink...

5.) I make up stories about people I am on an airplane with- I give them a name, a job, who their spouse it...a full character sketch-

6.) My middle name is spelled "Michealle"- Mom wasn't sure how to spell it- and the nurse said- spell it anyway you want to...so she did.

You are totally weird!!! Next thing you will be telling me you eat with your mouth and breathe thru your nose.

Have you forgotten what passes for normal around this neck of the woods?

(1) Beats the Brittany Spears earworm I've suffered over the past two weeks.

(2) What's in a spelling? A Michelle by any other name would be as sweet.

(3) I get a lot of characters from observation--especially if they're obnoxious or mean--after all, I distance myself from people like that.

You weirder than I thought.

Mayden is weird
I'm much a-feared;
Best to be normal,
Just like, say, Percival.

If you'd just pattern yourself after commentators to your blog, you'd be ok...

If you were normal, we wouldn't be able to visit each other's blogs. Sorry, but it's the law.

Lee- :)

SJ- All true

JCN- Thank you for the reminder...though I have found you to be nothing short of extraordinary and wonderful.

Doc-T- I wonder if we were not distantly related. My mom lived in Hawaii for a while as a kid...
The ink is the kind you use on a "white board"- the pens work great on mirrors. It reminds me to push forward with getting published.
Unique is perhaps a better word- but nicer having come from you :)

X~ An earworm??? From- ewwwww- BS? Do you catch that kind of thing from close contact? Who knows what kind of ick that chick carries around! :) Tell me it's computer related- and I will breathe easy again.
Oh dear- I didn't just sound jealous- did I? :) (a little, yes)

Percival- "Sigh"...a deep contented sigh. Just what I need- a mentor :)

"P"- did you see the scene in Young Frankenstien where the little hunched-back guy (Igor?) goes to get a brain and picks up the wrong one? When asked about it he says- "I got the brain named Aby- something...yes....Aby-normal"
Abnormal...
I fall over laughing everytime I see that :) So- "Abnormal" it is for me :)

Young Frankenstein is one of my favorites. I know the scene TOO well!

A cautionary tale, most formal:
Guard you heart, for the words that will warm'll
Prove to be fickle,
Just like a brass nickle,
Or a poet who thinks himself normal.

What is normal?

You would be surprised how many women do not care to shop for clothes. Shopping unless you really need someothing is a sign of either boredom or a need to spend money.

Mayden, I fear you may not have looked back at Cosmo's previous post. I tried to warn you about him by making use of your own poetic structure. Here it is - please listen, before it is too late:

Nay Fair Mayden

I stood on the shore,
I saw him just once,
His height was quite short
His shoulders were slumped.

He sleeps on the beach
Or somewhere close by
Cops touch his shoulder -
"It's us again - Hi..."

And what does it matter,
Where he resides,
As long as he loiters
Truth bids me confide

All that I know
And you should know too
He's no good for you Mayden
And Percy must do.

A kiss for you Percy- on a rose- to be worn in your lapel...
I removed the thorns myself :)

oooh. thanks.

Mayden' s Voyage said...

Thanks for what, Sean?

I am not weird enough- am I? LOL!
