In Memory of the "Baron"

My blog friend, and a friend to so many, died last week of a Brain Aneurysm.

He was 44- and had 2 kids that he loved very much.

We never met, but he was dear to me and I will miss him...

I'll miss his posts, his email, his words-

Be in Peace friend~

Thanks Libby-
It's hard to describe just how sad I am over losing someone I was just getting to really know.
My heart goes out to his family...
He was a good father- and a sweet friend.
Thanks for your comment here~

Oh Leelee-
He was sweet...with a tender heart.
He was respectful, honest, and kind. It feels like he was taken too soon- I ache for his kids.
I feel blessed to have known him for the short time we've been blog friends.
It's hard to make sense of it~

i am shocked as well.
i visited his blog a few times through your site.
i am stunned at the way our lives touched each others in such a brief manner and then is severed in an instant.
was he sick or was it completely unexpected?
i am sorry to hear about this cora.

Me allways enjoyed reading his take on things in the comment section. His words were usually positve and insightful, like he really read the post before commenting on it. It be unfortunate that Me won't be seeing he avatar nor reading he posts anymore.

step.

I remember reading Baron Ectar's comments on this site and several others I frequent. Yet, we did not interact all that much.

Nevertheless, I am quite saddened by his passing. If nothing else, it's a reminder that cyberfriends have a reality to them, if we are hurt by their absence.

BTW, how did you find out?

Noooooooooooooooooooooo! I never knew him, but that is sooooooooooooooooooo very sad.

I couldn't even say his name on my post--too shocked when I found out.
Mayden, I hope you and I did what we were supposed to do. Bless you for doing this. I couldn't even get myself to admit it was he. You have courage and great faith. Perhaps God wants me to learn more about trust in his ways. God bless you, my dear friend and please don't mind if I call and write you.

Exskindiver-
Thank you~ His death was totally unexpected. His only symptom was a headache...he passed in his sleep.

Foam- Hugs friend :)
I keep thinking about his kids too-He loved them dearly and they knew it...there is a blessing in that.

PW- Yes. I still feel numb, I keep checking my email :(

Scary- Leave it to you friend to "step" exactly when I needed it-
thank you :)

Bone- thanks friend~

John- Peace indeed- I do feel oddly at peace, but I ache too~

X- The reality of cyberfriends...they are quite real- aren't they~
I was sure, when I woke up (and this is kind of strange) last Thursday morning that something was wrong. Many tornados had ripped through his area and I was really afraid that he had been hurt in the storm.
When I didn't hear from him for 2 days I was convinced he was in trouble, or worse. I even did an obit search on Saturday (and felt very wierd about it)- anyway- our friend Susan sent me an email yesterday...she had heard from his family.
It wasn't the tornados at all...
:(

Little Lamb- thanks for being here.
I'm sad too~

/t- thank you. I know his family appreciates our grief for their loss, and ours. "Grief" is a love word...and the idea of that brings me comfort.

Susan-
Oh friend. My heart was so moved by speaking to you yesterday...and I know my spirit must have hugged yours a dozen times. I know we both hung up in tears, but I felt such peace after speaking to you. It was just what I needed to do.

It's hard for people in our "hug space" to really understand the loss of someone in "cyberspace"- but the loss is just as real- and I think in some ways- it's even worse. We can not attend a service, we can not say goodbye the way his family did. I keep looking for an email, just like they keep looking for him to walk into the house. And, for the most part, we grieve alone.
But thankfully, not you and I. My heart aches alongside your own...each beat reminding me that he is close by, but just out of reach.
I wish I could have met him. He was on my list of people to see one day...
And one day I will meet him.
I told Tim last night, "When we get to heaven, and you see a cowboy giving me a big hug...you'll know who that is."

I'll miss him until then though~
I send love friend...

I haven't seen Dyke's Dog lately. Where's she been? Is she ok?

Lambie: She deleted her blog. Hopefully she will return as Spongy has.

I hope she's alive and well and ok. She's another one I never spoke to, but Baron, Dykes Dog and I did have some of the same friends.

mayden - all this past week, i have felt such a terrible, debilitating grief-sadness-heaviness press upon me. truly, it was debilitating. so many things swirling around. but ... still the grief felt .... oppressive. and constrictive. like my spirit could not breathe. i have been absent from the blogosphere, and so just found out right this second about Baron, whose comments i have read and enjoyed. perhaps i felt it .... felt the loss ... from so far away i think i could feel you.

please write me, whatever .... if you feel the need, though i know you already have such good supports.

remember, my dear cora - nothing is ever really lost ... forms are only changing .... baron's form has changed .... he is all around us. his spirit speaks to you on the wind. can you hear it?

please know i am thinking of you ... crying for you even, a little. this feeling of loss - its so palpable ... i can taste it in my mouth.

i wish i could reach out there and just give you a big hug .... though i think your shoulder would just get tear-stained.

my deepest sadness .... condolences ....

with immense love,

roxanne
