Happy Mother's Day

For my Mother-

and To my friends...
Lux, Kate, Susan, Foam, Chesca, Roxanne, Malinda, Leelee, Barbara, and Nea- who are mothers, I wish you a beautiful day- full of blessing and peace-

Some quotes worth repeating~

:) :) :) :) :)

You don't really understand human nature unless you know why a child on a merry-go-round will wave at his parents every time around - and why his parents will always wave back. ~William D. Tammeus

My mom is a neverending song in my heart of comfort, happiness, and being. I may sometimes forget the words but I always remember the tune. ~Graycie Harmon

God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers. ~Jewish Proverb

When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child. ~Sophia Loren, Women and Beauty

Mother love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible. ~Marion C. Garretty, quoted in A Little Spoonful of Chicken Soup for the Mother's Soul

"Love, The key that unlocks the bars of impossibility."

I really like the Loren comment because I have witnessed its truth in so many women.

The Merry Go Round Quote made me really smile, it is so true.........I don't know how many times I have done that very same thing when the kids were small, waved each and everytime they went by, as if to say, I am here, and I will always be here for you.....and I will always acknowledge you....Mother's need to be a constant in a child's life I guess, that is about the best thing we can do for them...is always be there.

Happy Mother's Day!
You should have come by. We had prime rib, twice-baked potatoes, artichoke hearts, champagne and strawberries with chocolate.
Three mothers in attendance.

The Loren quote was the one that rang the truest note in my heart~

Roxanne-
Beautiful photo... Mom seems to be holding on the present- daughter is thinking about the future :) As it should be I think-
Hope you had a lovely day :)

Nea-
Yes...that quote made me instantly laugh because most of us do that. Even the guys who end up on TV at a sporting event..."HEY MOM!!!"-
it's so sweet :)

Bone- thanks. Hope you got to spend some time with your mom. I know she is a special lady- because look at who her son is!
:)

Grunt- Hugs friend and Thank you! Wish you could come to Florida at the end of the month...I smell a blog meet!!!

I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day. I had to make do with a long phone call to mine--which was fine by her since we just recently saw each other.
