Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!

Emerald Isle in September can NOT be beat! 85 degrees, warm water, and a cool breeze~

We had the beach almost to ourselves...

******

And I was hoping for one last day in the sun at the coast-

I got more than I wanted...

However...I'm still smiling :)

But between the tweeking on my braces last week,
and the sunburn...
I'm not sure what I'm smiling about! :D

****
It's been a long week- with a big birthday party this weekend, as well as a memorial service for T's Uncle in Asheville who passed away last week .

I hope to get caught up with all of you soon- I've missed reading your blogs and sending you notes! However, with a big trip (NYC) in less than 2 weeks- it may be October before I get back into the swing of things...

Apparently- I do have a life :)
Aren't you glad?
LOL!

Heard about the joke where a blonde colors her hair black... she was trying to get some artificial intelligence!!!

For reasons only you know you must be trying get artificial redneck-ness.

Ooh! I can see the pain in your face, it's hard to hide...hope you feel better soon (I remember those braces, I had them at age 30!)

Quit showing the ocean. It's not fair and you need to stop.
I want a martini.

Schaumi- I know...I know. One day a dermatologist will be cutting away- with no pain killers...and I will lament, "Schaumi told me to be careful!" (It's not funny really- I will!)

SJ- Redneckness?
I sooo like you! You know that? I really do...only a guy from India could imply such a thing and get away with it! :)

Besides...My gorgeous sisters are ALL brunettes. And all smarter than me! They don't drink Martini's...but I do :)

Firebird-
I used a suncreen- spf 25 on my face, but the one I used on my shoulders and arms was from an older bottle- and I have to wonder if it hadn't expired. I do feel better today though :) Thanks!

Lux- Lost your side bar? Sometimes blogger does strange things! I had to completely re-do mine to get it fixed. I'll come over and look :)

Iamnot- Sorry :) Bring the kids- we'll all go!

hate to tell you this, but that big sign as you drove up:

BEACH CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Meant something.

Lovely pictures. Here on the East Coast we were hoping for one more visit to the Jersey Shore, but it got so cold and rainy. Oh well, I guess that's why they call it fall.

Sorry to hear about T's uncle. My condolences to him and your family.

Because of your family's loss, I'll refrain from any untoward remarks concerning the color of your neck.

I am excited that you are coming this-a-way! :) Aloe, aloe, aloe, sweet Cora! As much as I love shrimp and lobster, I dont want to love you in the same way! :)

/t- lol :) "Lovely but cooked" ...that is the most romantic thing anyone has said to me all day! Thank you :)

JL4- The sign? What sign? I'd better go back and look! :)

EOR- yes, I guess the summer lasts a little bit longer here- it's lovely, and still bright enough to get burned, which I need to be more careful about! :)

Lux- Lets do an Alaskan cruise at the same time! :) We won't tell our hubbs- and pretend we just met...oh my- we would have the most fun! :)

X- Your decorum is without flaw :)
I can not say the same for my skin!
Thanks for the kind words for Tim, I will pass them along. The uncle was terribly ill and was ready to go.
He would have teased me unmercifully about my "red neck" :) I'm sure you'll get a few digs in next weekend~ :)

Miss E- I sent you a note :) I promise to do a better job with the sun-screen :) Lobster is not my best color! :)

Lamb- we had a wonderful time. We are blessed to have a "grannie" close to the beach, and thankfully she loves for us to visit- and we try to go often~

Kate-
Oh, I made a Martini refrence, and then thought better of it...so I deleted it :)
I am excited and I will take so many photos it will take months to upload them all~
I'll get over to your blog asap :)
