The election's over. The voters spoke. My side didn't win this one, and by enough of a lead that even ACORN couldn't manufacture a different outcome.

As for the mountains...living at the base of them and working in them...I'm an ol' farmboy from Iowa. Were I ever to leave this venue, that's where I'd probably return. But for now, I love life here at the base of the foothills, with the mountains 30 minutes west. Been here 37 years. 'Nuff said.

Sounds as though you had a good time with K9. I miss the woods. The desert has its own certain charm, but just doesn't seem to be a good fit for me. Guess you can take the boy out of WI, but you can't take WI out of the boy.
