I love this...

"There is nothing more dreadful than the habit of doubt. Doubt separates people. It is a poison that disintegrates friendships and breaks up pleasant relations. It is a thorn that irritates and hurts; it is a sword that kills."

- Buddha

The same is true about the "doubt of oneself"- of our ability, and power, and presence.
Ahh...
And the doubt that our love, extinguished or burning brightly, makes a difference. It does, and it did~ Always.

Hugs!

(Thank you Foamy and Rox for your comments below- I removed the post...said what I needed to say and hopefully the eyes which Fate intended to see it- did. <3 )

I go away and miss an important post... uggg Fill me in when you have a chance.

The 'doubt' quote really touched me today. I have been in a constant state of doubt for months now. Its terrible and I am stagnant because of it in many ways.

I think its time for me to pick myself up by the bootstraps and bust a move. (tough to bust much of a move at 4am though! lol Unfortunately I am still on EU time!)

Have a great time at the beach and I am glad that T is on the mend!

It's a good, poignant, deeply thoughtful quote. And it speaks to all of us at one time or another..and another...and another ;)

To be human is to wonder. At times, about ourselves. Doubt is part of the process. So is the sunburst after the cloud of doubt is dissipated. They do come back..and so does that sunburst of realization.

Like the seasons, we grow, we evolve, we learn, we wonder, we doubt, we understand, we go on.

And if our hearts are open to both doubt and realization, we learn much on the road we tread.

*Hug* my friend. I didn't see the post. But I don't need to. 'Nuff said.

I like the sentiment of this quote. But, here's another quote about doubt ~ another type of doubt, perhaps.

You cannot be a man of faith unless you know how to doubt. You cannot believe in God unless you are capable of questioning the authority of prejudice, even if that prejudice seems religious. Faith is not a blind conformity to a prejudice ~ a "pre-judgement." It is a decision, a judgement that is fully and deliberately taken in the light of truth that cannot be proven.~ Thomas Merton

Also, I came across this in a blog I've recently found:

Love is the all-constituing substance of being. It's what you are made of. And you did not create it.Wishing, for you, that this week brings everything you need and hope for. **HUGZ**

Takes a lot of strength to banish doubt, specially the ones you have about your own self.

I'd like to think that this is true...but I doubt it.

Seriously, though, it is a beautiful sentiment.
